Acting for environment is measuring and analysing pollution phenomena to provide air quality forecasts, information and increase public awareness.
Mission
ORAMIP is the association managing air quality monitoring for the entire Midi-Pyrenees region, south west of France.
The Midi-Pyrenees region is covering more than 45 000 km2, with 2.5 million inhabitants and over 3 000 "communes".

ORAMIP is a scientific and technical observatory, approved by the French Ministry for Environment according to the French law concerning air quality (30th december 1996).
The budget of ORAMIP is provided by :
• The State
• Industries
• Local governments
ORAMIP : an independent observatory
ORAMIP is directed by a board of directors which includes members representing the State, local governments, industrial representatives and consumer and environmental protection groups.
Together, these institutions draw the main lines of air quality monitoring in the Midi-Pyrenees region.
ORAMIP, as the other 40 associations for managing air quality in France, is part of the ATMO Federation.
